SMALL BITES / by Angela Payne

The thought of writing blogs often overwhelms me.  Captions, however, aren’t so scary.  I suppose I’m a product of my insta-generation, where attention spans are short and the list of distractions long.  Or maybe my obsessive tendencies and indecisive nature just make writing a serious challenge for me.  Whatever the reason, the result is that I post nothing.  So, in an effort to improve my writing and share some thoughts (for those who wish to read them), I will contribute to the deterioration of attention spans by adopting a new technique – posting less, but more often.

There are all sorts of topics that I’ve meant to write about in the past: finishing my long-term project, learning new skills, fear, indecision, competition preparation, my future, and even less serious things like why I love dogs so much, why beer tastes better than water at the end of a long day of bouldering or what desserts are my favorite.   In short, I want to write more, and I’m going to tackle that challenge by taking small bites.  And in this moment, I have come up with the name of the blog series.  “Small Bites” will be random thoughts written in easily digestible portions.  Suggestions for topics are welcome and encouraged.

Stay tuned for the first serving…but don’t expect it to be as delicious as this…

The bite I would take of this would NOT be small.
